Too few people rent out rooms
There are plenty of people who live too big. Why don’t they consider renting out one or more rooms. That way you help people find living space and you make money too. Why do you want to have the whole house to yourself.
Places to find a house relatively quickly
In Twente, through woninghuren.nl with the lottery, you can have a good cheap house within a few months. I speak from my own experience. In the Netherlands, I prefer to live in Amsterdam and its surroundings. Amstelveen is my first preference, Haarlem my second.
I was open to moving to another region and from there you can get to Amsterdam in no time. Many people insist on living in certain places. They want to live in the Randstad at all costs. Especially there you have housing shortage.
This is also true in other countries. Many people cannot find a house in Lisbon and its surroundings. That is also my preference, but why do you necessarily have to live in Lisbon and its surroundings? Portugal is big, so there is much more than Lisbon and so is this with other countries.
What amount of rent is acceptable?
I think at most a quarter of income or minimum wage. This is also easy to remember or organize. In many countries, with social rental housing, they do about a third. Certainly in the Netherlands this is true with many social rental houses.
With private rental, many houses are far too expensive. Also, with social renting you have more rights and benefits. You can swap homes with anyone in the Netherlands who rents socially. You also get cheated much less with, for example, the bill for water, energy or service costs.
You are supposed to get these by July 1 each year. Many people don’t get them on time. If they get the statement, then many people have to pay a much too high amount in addition.
Should Donald Trump win the U.S. election Nov. 5, everything in the world will be much better. Voting can only be done digitally and with proof of citizenship. Thus, the Democrats will not be able to steal the election through fraud as with the previous elections.
Trump is leading very big in all polls, so very likely he will be the new president November 5. Greetings and until next time!
